Product purchase frequency
Track how many times each product has been ordered in the last 7 days and display messages like “Selling fast! Ordered 34 times this week” to create a sense of urgency and excitement. By showcasing demand in real time, you can motivate quick decisions and drive conversions.
This metafield is automatically updated for products that are part of the shop's orders during the past 7 days. If no orders in the past 7 days mention the product (effectively a count of 0), the metafield is deleted. The value of the metafield will be the number of orders the product has been part of, ignoring the ordered quantity.

Scope of Shopify object that owns the metafield
When you initially enable this metafield, the individual product metafields will be set in a background task. If you have a large number of orders in the past 7 days, this may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Once the metafields are set, they will be updated in real-time
